Sienna’s Story
Sienna was raised by a very broken woman, a life of poverty, disappearance, and sadness. Her mother was a drug addict, and soon, the outside world saw her sadness and broken appearance. She found that she needed to fend for herself through most of her upbringing, although she was brought to no physical harm. There was nothing for her, no sense of belonging, love, or support.
She was put into the system, going from placement to placement, but nowhere felt like home. She always kept herself to herself and didn't have many friends, an outcast in every sense. Later in her life, she was adopted by the 'Sandalphon' family, who were known to adopt children/young adults less fortunate than them. They had a daughter Sienna's own age. She was brought into a world of glamour, luxury, and wealth, something she could only dream of.
However, she felt she didn't belong, although the Sandalphons were kind, caring, generous, and welcoming. Their daughter Harmony, however, didn't like her; they were complete polar opposites, and Harmony never had time for Sienna. Although they lived in the same home, they stayed apart. Harmony was always being sneaky and wandering off, whereas Sienna would just keep herself to herself and locked herself away in her room.
Sienna left the Sandalphon home at the age of 18, wanting to fend for herself. She found a job as a hotel cleaner and lived in a small studio apartment. One day, while cleaning a very well-known customer's room, he returned very well dressed, attractive, and appealing. This stranger smiled, on his arm was a beautiful lady.
Sienna recognised this young woman; it was none other than Harmony, dressed in a beautiful formal fitted dress, designer handbag, and stunning jewellery. To Sienna's surprise, Harmony hugged her tight and slipped a card into her pocket. The perfect couple left the room, and Harmony looked behind, smiled, and nodded to Sienna.
Sienna took the card from her pocket and looked at it. It was black with a gleaming, golden emblem. Behind it, a phone number.
