Light’s Story

Gregorio: “It is perfectly natural to feel apprehensive Light…but you have a real chance of following your mother’s legacy here with us.”

Light: Greg, I want more than this. My mother wanted more for me. I don’t want to follow her legacy, I want to make my own!

Gregorio: I took you in when no one else did, Light. Just this one favor and you can do whatever you like after. One million dollars is a lot, Light.

What else could I say to a man who was there for me when no one else was. The most constant man in my life. It had been two years since Greg had taken me in, after my mother’s sudden demise. My mother’s pimp/go-between/manager, call it what you will.

A rather fair man yet strict and unwavering in his business. Gregorio had taken me into his mansion as eye candy at the age of 19 while he paid off my University tuition. He described my beauty as exotic and untouchable. His rules were simple. Do not engage with other men. Graduate with honors. Wear what I was told during his high profile elite parties. His most prized possession having been the youngest and a virgin, I lived freely otherwise. Enjoying his gifts… forgetting how alone I felt sometimes, no family. His escorts had grown to be like big sisters to me. Teaching me the tricks of the lifestyle. Painting a realistic view of the world I was now in, a world my mother had fought so hard to keep me out of.

Out of respect for my mother’s memory, Greg never asked me to be one of his escorts yet truly his intentions had finally been made known today. He would auction me off… a stunning virgin beauty to the highest bidder. Trained in obedience to him, the daughter of the highest earning escort he has ever had. My value to him was practically immeasurable to the point I even had a bodyguard when leaving his estate. As much as I was grateful to Greg for all he had done for me, the weight of my sudden purpose was too much to bear. On the night I was to be displayed, unknown to me, the night I would meet the highest bidder, I ran.

A bold move I admit to a man who was good yet equally possessive and dangerous. Every penny I had saved with my allowances were spent on planning the longest disappearing act I could ever pull. My friend Elly who moved to Jade City after university would help me rebuild my life under the radar for the next 4 years. As time faded… the danger I had put myself in grew less emergent as I worked my way up the ladder between my photography gigs and nonsexual nights escorting confidentially to a handful of local business men. But I was being watched. Greg had never given up. His most skilled henchman Danny had found me. Sitting across the room from a cafe I frequently visited before work. It was then that a mysterious man intercepted Danny’s slow rise from his seat to walk up to me.

Mystery man: “Light my darling sorry I am late. Shall we?” Helping me out of the cafe and into a black limousine - the number plate reading “TGC” - we sped off, leaving Danny in the faded dust as we escaped. Had I unknowingly begun another dangerous fleet to escape another? Only time would tell.
